  • Position Summary
  • Full Time, 1-year paid assignment
  • The Planters Spokesperson…
  • Is an outgoing, creative, friendly, exuberant, and ‘always-on’ college graduate with an appetite for adventure and desire to see the world through the windshield of a giant legume.
  • Represents Planters as a brand specialist and spokesperson through radio and television appearances, newspaper interviews, retail and charity functions.
  • Travels from coast to coast, maintaining their own PR firm on wheels (the NUTmobile), and driving along the salty streets with a team of 3 to bring miles of smiles to millions.
  • Organizes promotions, contributing to brand social content, and pitching TV, radio and print media.
  • Embodies the iconic persona of Mr. Peanut at country-wide events.
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Drive and Maintain the NUTmobile from city to city.
  • Pitch media to traditional media outlets and bloggers/influencers, and secure media hits through radio, tv, newspapers, etc.
  • Secure & execute events and experiential activations to promote the Planters brand.
  • Manage social media & creating content for both Twitter & Instagram.
  • Partner with external agencies to execute on brand strategy & activations.
  • Act as specialist & Spokesperson for Mr. Peanut, walking in the shoes of an American icon.
  • Proactively communicate team status and navigate through unexpected occurrences.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably focused in but not limited to: Business, PR, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Media Management
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Desire and ability to spend the year on the road as an ambassador for Planters - must be comfortable with daily road travel in the NUTmobile and staying in hotels or short-term corporate housing throughout the United States

  • Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
